Advice on US tariffs

Recent increases in US import tariffs have caused some confusion amongst US buyers and non-US makers and sellers.

Customs duties and Trump tariffs do not apply if your order is under $800. This is due a long-standing "de minimis" arrangement for private buyers. The tariffs are designed to penalise US companies that import goods in large amounts. The "de minimis" arrangement means that private individuals in the US can buy items direct from the UK for their own use, without having to pay any tariffs.

We will contact you if your order goes over the $800 amount. (It rarely does.)
