How Did Pinegrove Get Its Name?

Rod Boyes, owner, designer and maker at Pinegrove Leather, talks about how he came up with the Pinegrove name:

"I've been playing music since the 1980s, mostly guitar and vocals.  In the 1990s Cajun music and dancing became very popular in Britain.  A new band was forming with really good experienced players, so I was pleased to be invited to join them as a singer and rhythm guitarist.   We were called The Cajun Aces. I'm at the top right in the picture.  We went all over, even to Louisiana where we played on the Saturday night radio show "Rendez-Vous Des Cajuns" to a large audience.  One of our favourite songs was the Pine Grove Blues by the mighty Nathan Abshire.  It rocks!

"Honestly, I think Cajun was the first trance groove music form invented!

"I left the Cajun Aces a while ago and went on to join a bluegrass band, and later a western swing band, but that song stuck in my head.  When I started making leather gear for musicians, the name sounded just right.  Thank you Nathan!"
