This Pinegrove Leather Guitar Strap is hand built for lasting comfort, so reducing shoulder pain from long gigs and rehearsals.

On the upper side is soft, luxurious leather, 2mm thick (5oz weight). Straps marked NT or VT have an upper side mostly made from natural leather. See below for details.  Though ultra-strong and long-lasting, we are careful to always use leathers that are soft and do not cut into your shoulder or neck. 

The underside of the strap can be fitted with either grippy suede or smoother nubuck leather. Nubuck is a polished suede that provides some grip, but slides when you want to adjust your playing angle. Just release a little pressure.Both options are made from high quality cowhide that will not crack or wear out. Inside are two layers of cushioning - a layer of sports foam, plus another layer of thick wadding, These provide plenty of comfort for long gigs.

This guitar strap is a full 3" wide (76mm) to spread the weight of a heavy guitar or bass. The strap has a standard interweave adjustment tailpiece with 8 slots, giving a long adjustment range. See the options. The pin holes are a standard 8mm (3/8") wide. Add a note to your order if you require larger pin holes for strap locks.

About Natural Leather (Items marked NT or VT)

Natural leather (AKA vegetable-tanned leather) has been made in the traditional way dating back hundreds of years.  This artisan craft uses natural tannin-rich plant extracts such as from oak bark.  It produces the most luxurious leather, but is slow and expensive. Pinegrove's natural leather then goes through a softening process, where the leather is tumbled in rotating drums with organic waxes and oils. This also enhances the leather's natural grain.

The colours and textures available in natural leather are often limited, so we use other leathers too.  These are always high quality leather, and usually full-grain. Some have an applied finish which we cannot source in natural leather. Examples are mock-croc (cowhide debossed with a crocodile-skin effect), nubuck and some leathers with an antique/relic effect.
