Kevin Northampton. I have commented on this product in the past, saying how great it was . Sadly the last pair I bought are not so good. They seem to be made from a thicker less flexible leather, which is harder to fit and not so effective as the previous ones. I still like them but was much happier with the original type I bought. I think maybe the thicker material allows them to stamp their name on them, which to be fair looks pretty cool, but thicker stiffer leather is not such a comfortable fit. I still give them 5 stars though, but hope for the old style to return.

Kevin Northampton. This is a great bit of kit. In the past connecting my strap to my ukuleles by the jack plug/strap button has caused it to loosen over time(the button) causing the electronics not to function properly. Not with this one, because although the uke is held safely there is no strain on the button it self. Would definitely buy again.

I've been wary of straps falling off jack-socket endpins for many years, ever since I saw a friend's electroacoustic come adrift and hit the floor with a wince-inducing splintering of wood. Strap-locks are easy to fit to solid body guitars but acoustic guitars with incorporated jack sockets have always been more tricky.
This solution just works; the supplied rubber washers secure the strap to the standard strap-button at the neck heel and the leather strap adapter to the jack endpin.
It's the same principle as fitting rubber washers from certain well-known beer bottles over guitar strap buttons but the key here is that the leather adapter sits neatly over the whole jack endpin in a way that a standard guitar strap just can't do because its holes are sized for ordinary strap buttons. The large washer then slots into the groove around the outer edge of the socket to stop the adapter getting pulled out of place.
