The GS78 Guitar Strap is made from real vegetable-tanned natural cowhide. It is 2 1/2 inches wide, reducing to 1 1/2 inches for the buckle. It has a natural grain that improves with age. The leather is so thick it doesn't need a lining, and the back side has a matt texture, so it won't slip too easily on your shoulder. A suede lining can be fitted if you need extra grip - see the options.

Once the strap parts have been perfectly cut out, the edges go through a 5-stage hand-crafted process of bevelling (rounding), polishing, dyeing, sealing and further polishing. This strap feels comfortable even on bare skin.

The GS78 guitar strap has a large buckle with a unique design and an aged finish. It is made of cast zinc so it won't rust or mark your clothing.
 

In addition to the 3" length adjustment given by the buckle, the GS78 has a standard interweave adjustment tailpiece with 8 slots, giving a long adjustment range.  An extra long tail can be fitted - see the options. The strap pin holes are a standard 8mm (3/8") wide. Add a note to your order if you require larger strap pin holes for strap locks.

About Natural Leather (Items marked NT or VT)

Natural leather (AKA vegetable-tanned leather) has been made in the traditional way dating back hundreds of years.  This artisan craft uses natural tannin-rich plant extracts such as from oak bark.  It produces the most luxurious leather, but is slow and expensive. Pinegrove's natural leather then goes through a softening process, where the leather is tumbled in rotating drums with organic waxes and oils. This also enhances the leather's natural grain.

The colours and textures available in natural leather are often limited, so we use other leathers too.  These are always high quality leather, and usually full-grain. Some have an applied finish which we cannot source in natural leather. Examples are mock-croc (cowhide debossed with a crocodile-skin effect), nubuck and some leathers with an antique/relic effect.
